which pay a lot more interest on your savings than your day to day neighborhood
banks. There might be other institutions or credit unions which pay more than
those mentioned on this list because of I only list those which are easily
accessible, available throughout Canada and offer online services. If you come
across anything which falls under above criteria but not mentioned here, please

ICIC Bank HiSAVE Savings Account - Interest rate is 3.50%. Currently the best deal in Canada. ICIC Bank
offers 3.50% interest on both C$ and US$ accounts. Deposit more than $100 and

Ultimate Savings Account – Interest rate is 3.20%. Citizens Bank offers some additional features than
its competitors. Unlimited account transfers to internal or external
checking accounts and also offers four free ATM withdrawals per month. Website

ING Direct Investment Savings Account – Interest rate is 3.15%. This is the bank which made online banking and high
interest account popular worldwide. Headquartered in Amsterdam and one of

Rate Savings Account - Interest rate is 3.15%. Deposit more than $100 between May 29 and June
30 and you will get a $25 bonus. HSBC charges $5 to process a debit transaction
(except transfers from High Rate Savings Account to another HSBC account in the

Interest First Savings Account – Interest rate is 3.05%. Canada’s favorite and owned by Loblaws.
Provides additional features than competitors. You can bank at local Loblaws
(where they have small booths – called Pavilion) and also can use CIBC’s ATM
